How We Work: Our practitioners will consult with you to understand your needs and challenges before co-designing a bespoke project with you. Our ultimate goal is to help you develop a sustainable way forwards, so that our work together grows in strength long after you work with us. Why Is This Critical? Given the current crises around duty of care and athlete welfare, and the broader mental health crisis in the country, there has never been a more important time to invest in this holistic approach to sport, and demonstrate how performance and a caring culture of sport are not mutually exclusive. UK Sport: Powered by PurposeThe first athlete activism programme of its kind, we were commissioned by UK Sport to design and deliver a bespoke 6-month course of development for 20 world-class funded athletes, to help them use their platform and voice to create social impact across 3 areas: wellbeing, inclusion, and sustainability.
Athletes engaged in 10 workshops, individual mentoring, online resources, and a buddy system, in order to build their personal social action plan. They presented their journeys of transformation and social impact at a showcase event in London. Final report coming soon! |

Basketball ScotlandWe are thrilled to be working with Basketball Scotland, an organisation that passionately believes in everyone's right to a joyful experience of sport. We are delivering three projects: 1) training their new social impact officers to deliver impact through a "School of Basketball" initiative designed to promote wellbeing and life skills of young people at risk of poor academic attainment and reduce the gap between Scotland's highest and lowest areas of deprivation; 2) training their new "Wellbeing Ambassadors" to nurture a caring environment within basketball clubs across Scotland; and 3) designing a mental wellbeing short course for basketball coaches and training tutors to deliver the course. We have also begun supporting their referees - a crucial group within any sporting ecosystem.
