In the Zone: Mindfulness-Based Resilience Training
|
By using meditation to cultivate present-moment awareness, we not only enhance athletic performance, but cultivate life-long skills which can promote mental and physical health, improve our focus and concentration, and bring more awareness into all parts of our lives.
This introduction to mindfulness for sport will involve experiential practice and guided meditation, as well as discussion, inquiry and Q&A. This course is suited for athletes, coaches, team competitors or solo enthusiasts. Whatever sport you participate in, learn how mindfulness can strengthen our ability to handle high-stress situations and pressure, work with doubt and anxiety, overcome and work with injuries, stay focused and present, prepare for competition and more. |

"I have learned to be more patient in the moments of my everyday. I recognize and appreciate what I have in the now rather than anticipate what I might have later. I'm really grateful to have the experience to work with Sam!"
"This experience helped me become more in touch with my mental and physical states, alongside learning how to talk and work with my teammates to reach a common goal. This was time worth spent!"
"I loved In the Zone! It was a great experience and something I have never done before as an athlete."
"I really enjoyed how personal and in depth the sessions were. Although we did this as a team, I felt that the lessons were interactive and important to our growth as individual athletes. Learning to be mindful has had a large impact in my life and I know I can always reset with one breath because there are people in my corner that I can rely on."
