Embracing Vulnerability Sport (2-hour workshop)
Amidst the pressure and uncertainty of competitive situations, athletes can choose to protect themselves and their ego, rather than put themselves and their emotions on the line.
In order to reach their potential and meet pressure with courage, they must be prepared to seek out and embrace moments of vulnerability. Without an understanding of the reality of vulnerability and courage, an athlete will forever be at the mercy of their changing mood and state of mind. As coaches and leaders we can learn to role-model embracing vulnerability and increase awareness around those uncomfortable moments during performance which mark the threshold to the courageous path.
In this class, you will learn more about your own relationship to vulnerability, discover how you can meet it with courage to elevate performance, and explore opportunities to support others in doing so.
